Originally the universe existed as a mass of energy. Energy is always moving and this movement caused the polarization of energy into a positive (yang) and negative (yin) components. Yin and yang, being the two opposites of the one primal energy, were attracted to each other, causing a huge explosion, from which light and sound came into being. Light and sound are the fundamental elements of life and the precursors of matter. From light, the basic elements of the material world were formed. Thus, light is the origin of life. Light is a field of highly concentrated energy that is in every matter, and is the basic power that sustains life. And sound creates vibration (movement), which establishes the order by which everything moves and changes in the universe. Life is the result of the harmony of yin (sound) and yang (light). The principle of creation of yin and yang is the law of creation of all living things. A human life is created when a man’s yang and a woman’s yin energies become one. The world is divided into yin and yang so that it is impossible for the two to exist separately. All life is created, controlled and regulated by the law of yin and yang. The union of the yin and yang energies creates vital energy (ki). This is the energy that we receive at conception when a man’s yang and woman’s yin energies join as one. This is the only time we receive vital energy, which should last until the end of our lives. After conception we begin to receive nature (earth) energy, which comes from food, water and air. So, vital energy creates life and nature energy supports life. All matter is a combination of yin and yang, and all phenomena are a result of the interaction of yin and yang. The force of attraction between them creates all things, and the force of repulsion disintegrates them. All things contain their corresponding opposite and nothing is absolute or complete in the physical world. Everything is in a state of flux and transformation, and this unending movement continuously polarizes the unchanging, eternal energy of the universe creating new phenomena and beings. Yang energy represents the male, fire, active, component, whilst yin energy represents the female, water, receptive element. Health in the human body is created by the harmony of yin and yang, fire and water energies. Too much fire energy is creating high blood pressure, headaches, tension, anger, anxiety, hot flushes in women, asthma and heart disease. Too much cold energy is creating allergies, stomach problems, weight gain, circulation problems, cancer and chronic fatigue | |
